Our white suri alpacas all have a Peruvian background. To illustrate the importance of good quality animal selection with proven bloodlines have a look at the three generations below:

White Suri Salote

EP Cambridge Salote is a female we bought last year with female cria (Alicia) at foot. We were again astonished by the amount of fleece she grows each year. Salote was first  white suri in her junior class in the 2005 National Show.

Salotes cria, born at end of 2007, was sired by Valley of Peace Sabastian Elite. This female cria is Valley of Peace Excellenz Alicia, the alpaca we have shown in the past showing season with a second in her white suri class on the National show 2008! To see her excellent results in other shows look at 2008-2009 alpaca show results.

On the 7th of March 2009, Salote gave us another white suri female cria! This cria has a different sire then Alicia, her sire is Jolimont Santino 2.
She looks very nice, time will tell if she has even better qualities then her stunning half sister. On the picture her lustre already shows!

Salote was shorn in November and we have used her fleece partly to mix with white huacaya fleece for our felting. The amount of fleece was huge, which is great for a pregnant female, but also very lustrous. In the scarfs we make the lustre that is added by the suri fleece is obvious.
We have the rest of the fleece ready carded, so 100% white suri, and we will try to make some garments by felting it into cloth. Will keep you posted!
